Home In My Community Liaison Officers & Staff
  • Things work better when we work together.

CSG means a lot of good things for people on the land. But it can mean a bit of disruption too.

So we’d like you to meet some people whose job it is to make sure that disruption is minimal, and that everyone gets a fair go in the process.

Call the Origin hotline on 1800 526 369 or contact us to speak to a Liaison Officer.

Meet our Landowner Liaison Officers & Staff:

    • Sarah Knights

Sarah Knights, Local Government Liaison Officer

Hi I’m Sarah! I was born in St George and grew up on a cattle, grain and cotton family property. After university in Brisbane, I returned to St George to work as an irrigation consultant in the cotton industry and to work in Senator Joyce’s electorate office. Today, I work in the Origin stakeholder engagement team to address the opportunities and issues in relation to Origin’s gas field development with Local Government and Non-Government organisations. I believe my understanding of rural towns positions me well in this role.

Hi I’m Judy, I started with Origin ten years ago and have lived and worked in areas around Injune, Moura, Roma and now Chinchilla. I grew up on properties in western Queensland which gave me a great appreciation for life on the land. It is a privilege to work with our landowners and I enjoy learning about and being involved in the diverse range of rural industries that we are across the areas we undertake our activities in. I strive to ensure that I take on board their individual needs and ensure that both rural industry and gas developments can work hand in hand.

    • Damien Morris

    Damien Morris, Landowner Liaison Officer

Hi, I’m Damien. Before moving to Chinchilla to begin my role with Origin I was living in far South West Queensland where I was lucky to spend much of my childhood. After completing school in Dalby, I returned to western Queensland to begin a career in Agribusiness working with Landmark, Riverina Stockfeed and Elders, before moving with my wife to run the family sheep and cattle property west of Cunnamulla. I have found this rural background gives me a good understanding of the needs of landowners that we work with at Origin.

    • Will Northdurft

    Will Nothdurft, Landowner Liaison Officer

Hi, I’m Will and I was born and raised in Chinchilla. My family had farms in both Chinchilla and Blackall, and a transport and earth moving business as well, so I have a good understanding of the rural industry. One of the best parts about being a Landowner Liaison Officer is working together with the landowner. We realise that we’re intruding on their property and their privacy but if we can work out access and fence signs, gates, grids to suit their needs and still get the well on their property at the end of the day, I think it’s a win-win for both landowner and Origin.

    • Mick Galdal

    Mick Galdal, Landowner Liaison Officer

Hi, I’m Mick and I’m a third generation beef producer involved in beef production in Roma. Born and raised in Central Queensland, I have always enjoyed an affiliation with the rural sector with involvement in Rural and Commercial Finance prior to joining Origin. As a rural landowner myself, with two well sites on one property I have empathy and understanding of both sides. The driving force behind my motivation to join the Origin team was my desire to ensure the survival of rural enterprise and communities in regional Australia.
