Community Sponsorship Program.

Origin’s Community Sponsorship Program offers organisations and groups the opportunity to access financial assistance and in-kind contributions to support events and programs that benefit the community.

The program aims to add value to community activities that make a positive contribution to one or more of the following areas:

• Skills, education and training 
  Addresses local skills development and adds value to educational opportunities
• Community safety, health and wellbeing  
  Supports safer and healthier communities including efforts by emergency services and public welfare support services
• Environment and natural resources  
  Protects and enhances natural resources including agriculture, land, water and biodiversity
• Sustainable population growth
  Activities which assist communities to meet the challenges of increased population growth
• Community events  and  fundraising  activities
  Activities which encourage community connection and promote a social environment

Funding Rounds.

There are four annual funding rounds for the Origin Community Sponsorship Program in 2012. The closing dates for each funding round are as follows:

Round 1: 2^nd Dec to 1^st March
Round 2: 2^nd March to 1^st June
Round 3: 2^nd June to 1^st Sept
Round 4: 2^nd Sept to 1^st Dec

Results will be announced shortly after the applications close for each round. If an application is submitted after the funding round closing date, it is likely to be assessed in the next round. However we may assess applications outside of the funding round on a case by case basis and we’re happy to talk your requirements through with you.
